As the founder of Gamble Companies and Co-Founder of Sons of Legends Foundation, Caliph brings formal training in audio engineering and film to notable clients like Kool and the Gang, Universal Companies, Boyz II Men, United Way, Sony BMG, and Philadelphia Center for Arts and Technology, to name just a few. Working as a studio engineer and A&R representative at Philadelphia International Records, Caliph had the ability to work with PIR as they transitioned into the digital era. While working on the original masters that the Mighty Three Music partners Gamble, Huff, and Bell created over the last 50 years, he gained an appreciation for their songs that most don’t get to witness.
The inheritor of a powerful musical legacy, Caliph is the eldest son of Hall of Fame songwriter turned community developer Kenny Gamble and renowned radio/television personality and celebrity strategist Dyana Williams. Growing up around the world’s most talented artists, songwriters, and producers afforded Caliph first-hand knowledge of the entertainment business most can only imagine. He is committed to continuing the work of his parents by utilizing the power of entertainment and education to inspire and elevate others.
Faulu Mtume is the President of Mtume Publishing Inc., a role he’s had since 2010. Faulu is the gatekeeper of his father James Mtume’s music catalog, which includes strategic licensing for synchronization and sample clearances. In regards to the latter, much of James Mtume’s music has been sampled by artists through the years – especially in the world of Hip-Hop.
Faulu grew from the years of watching James Mtume make the hits to working alongside his father as a composer, writing musical score pieces for the hit detective TV series, “New York Undercover”. Later, Faulu formed the label Moyo Music with his cousin Damu Mtume and Art Martin. Together, they discovered Neo-Soul artist (and Philly native) Bilal and executive produced his first two albums – “First Born Second” and “Love For Sale”.
With dozens of artists sampling and recording the music of the late James Mtume, Faulu’s work as the President of Mtume Publishing Inc. is as important and vital as ever. This to ensure that the elder Mtume’s legacy remains in the forefront of today’s times.
Influenced by the sound of the 80s and today, Prince Hakim has traveled from New York to Tokyo sharing his passion, and spreading his message to “Celebrate Life.”
Hakim has DJ’d at a number of events including Bonnaroo Music Festival, Art Basel in Miami, and some of the hottest clubs in New York such as La Esquina and Sony Hall. Hakim has also DJ’d for the Clinton Foundation, Tory Burch, and the Carnegie Hall Notables.
On top of that, Hakim toured with “Kool & The Gang” as a featured rapper. In a short span of time, Prince Hakim has created a substantial following and brand for himself. With years of professional music experience under his belt, Bell has much to offer to the industry. His wish is to “Celebrate Life” through music and share his talent with the world.
Nicole Duncan-Smith is from West Philadelphia born and raised, in the playground is where she spent most of her days.
