About Us
The The Hip Hop Museum Story
Out of the turmoil of the 1970s, a new art form was born in the Bronx. Who better to tell the story of Hip Hop than the people who wrote the story? From household-name artists such as Kurtis Blow, Ice-T, and Chuck D to behind-the-scenes visionaries like music impresario Rocky Bucano, breakdancing pioneer Popmaster Fabel and street photographer Joe Conzo Jr., The Hip Hop Museum is conceptualized by the same artists who crafted this art form out of beats, samples, dance moves, and fashion—the same people who changed the world. Every visitor will be immersed in the authentic story of Hip Hop as told by the past and present creators through their photos, artifacts, and memorabilia. The Hip Hop Museum will open in 2025, marking the 52nd anniversary of the birth of one of the world’s loudest and proudest cultural movements.
